| 4 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru Lodge or Camping Safari
The Masai Mara is Africa’s most celebrated game reserve and one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in the world, home to most of the African "animal kingdom". The open Savannahs and the ‘smell’ of the African Wild offers endless opportunities to view most of the popular game. Combine this with the spectacular Lake Nakuru National Park bird watching and wildlife viewing opportunities. Waterbuck are very common and both the Kenyan species are found here. Among the predators are lion and leopard, the latter being seen much more frequently in recent times. The park also has large sized pythons that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees. A variation of the itinerary to start from Lake Nakuru and culminate in the great Masai Mara or as it appears below can be discussed with our travel consultant. Make enquiries for tour rates Itinerary Day 1: Depart from Nairobi - Masai Mara Drive through the Great Valley with its panoramic views of gorgeous scenery with stop over at designated points. Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara or have scheduled picnic lunch depending on your choice for lodge or Campsite. Late afternoon game drive. Enjoy a dip in the large pool, or an evening lecture with local Maasai guides. Area activities include game drives and nature walks with resident Maasai naturalists in nearby areas outside the reserve. Day 2 : Exciting Game Drives - Masai Mara Enjoy early morning game drive before breakfast and a late afternoon one with optional visits to Maasai Cultural Village or a hot air balloon ride. Dinner and rest at lodge or selected campsite
Day 3: Birding & Game Viewing - Lake Nakuru National Park Depart to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or selected Campsite. Elevated above Lake Nakuru, the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge has 67 chalets all overlooking the famed ‘pink lake’. It is the perfect place to experience one of the world's largest ornithological spectacles, The Pink Flamingo, or an afternoon game drive for rich concentration of wildlife including black and white Columbus monkey and is also a famed Rhino Sanctuary haven to endangered White Rhino & the Rothschild’s Giraffe. Over 400 other bird species can be found for exciting bird watching in Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or similar
